A SEA Statement will be prepared in accordance with the requirements of the SEA Directive and the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004.
The SEA Statement will be prepared as soon as practically possible following adoption of the Northern Ireland Strategic Action Plan for Offshore Wind and Marine Renewable Energy.
The main focus of the SEA Statement is to provide a summary of how the findings from the SEA process and the responses received from the public consultation exercise have been integrated into the adopted plan (in this case the Strategic Action Plan)
The SEA Statement will include the following:
- Summary of the key findings from the SEA
- Summary of the responses received from the public consultation exercise
- How the results of the SEA and the responses from public consultation have been integrated into the Strategic Action Plan.
- Proposals from monitoring the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan and its effect on the environment.
